Gnomeo and Juliet

This movie was a 2 for 20 for us. Gnomeo and Juliet is a nice version of the classic Shakespear play Romeo and Juliet. The voices of Gnomeo and Juliet are played by James McAvoy and Emily Blunt with Michael Caine and Maggie Smith as Lord Redbrick and Lady Blueburry. The story is just like any Romeo and Juliet story it just is played out by with gnomes and garden accessories, this makes the movie very funny and cute. Juliet is a Red (Capulet is on the mail box in front of the house) her father is Lord Redbrick and cousin is Tybalt. Gnomeo is a Blue in the  Montague house, his best friend is Mushroom and Benny his cousin who gets him in trouble. The writters of this movie did a couple of twist to make this movie a fresh take for instance Juliet is not a helpless young girl she is a go-getter and adventurous, the battles that happen between the Blue and Red lawns are lawnmower races as well as covert destruction on each others gardens. This movie had great music written by Elton John and just all around cute movie for both kids and adults a like.
