This movie was hands down a Buy New. Emma Stone did a fantastic job of making this movie one of the best high school based comedy's in years. There were so many actors in this film that we recognized from other movies we had Lisa Kudrow, Cam Gigandet, Amanda Bynes, Stanley Tucci, Patricial Clarkson, Thomas Haden Church, Dan Byrd, and Penn Badgley. The bases of the movie is a girl Olive does a friend a favor by pretending to have sex with him so he will stop getting beaten up for being gay. He then tells his friends what really happened, ergo all the guys that are getting picked on all start to ask her to lie about how far they got with her. It goes so far as to Amanda Bynes character, an uptight overly religious girl, ostracizes her from the school by spreading rumors that she is a slut. What really made this movie believable was that this really happens in high schools today, everyone spreads rumors via text message and there are those kids that will spread rumors about you just to ruin you. Easy A was made great by the fact that it was NOT dumbed down at all; almost all the jokes in this movie were smart humor and there were big words in there that some people might have to look up later in the dictionary. The way the movie was presented was great and all the 80's teen angst movies were referenced (16 Candles, Breakfast Club, and Can't Buy You Love). We can honestly say we laughed through the whole movie and probably will go see it again and buy it as soon as it comes out it was THAT good.
