Takers was right on the boarder of 2 for 20 and buy brand new. The reason for this is because it was a very very good movie, but it was not orgininal at all. It is slightly ironic that the movie is named Takers and the movie itself takes the best parts from the best heist movies out there. During this movie we were constantly at the edge of our seats wondering what was going to happen next, never once did we feel there was a dull moment in this film. T.I., Paul Walker, Chris Brown, Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen and the rest of the cast did a great job bring this movie to life. While watching it we felt that there was a little bit of the Italian Job, Set it off, and The Bank Job rolled into this movie; as mentioned earlier they took the best parts of these movies and put them into one. We both agreed the best part about it was there was very little time spent on background stories on each character, enough was shown for the audiance member to assume what was going on in their lives. There are 2 detectives, 5 bank robbers, and 1 convict who lead the film. Dillion and Jay Hernandez are the two detectives who run around LA catching the bad guys and they get assigned the bank robbery case, the whole time you just see Dillion's character being the bad cop and Hernadez is the good cop with a family. Hayden Christensen, Chris Brown,Paul Walker, Michael Ealy, and Idras Elba are the bank robbers; they only do one job a year and it's such a big job they are able to live very comfortably every year. T.I. charcter was a memember of the bankrobber group but was shot and locked up in 2004; he gets released at the begining fo the movie and gets back with the gang. This is where the story starts rolling; there are a lot of twist and turns and plenty of action. If your a fan of bank robber movies this is the one to see.
