Its kind of a funny story

It's Kind of A Funny Story gets a 2 for 20 rating. It was a very good movie, just lacked in the execution of the movie. There were many funny parts (thank you Zack Galifianakis) and some great acting done by new comer Keir Gilchrist and of course Emma Roberts. The movie follows a teenager (Gilchrist) through a life crisis that most of us have gone through at least once in our lives. He admits himself into a hospital because he is suicidal and what end up happening is he finds out about life and what he wants to do with it and learns how to make himself happy. What we found interesting was that it did not end with the "now I spent a week in a hospital I have my whole life figured out" instead it ended with him knowing he had a lot more to accomplish and this was only the beginning of a longer journey. To say the least this movie was a very deep dramady (that a dramatic comedy). Galifianakis really stretched his serious acting role in this film and was very impressed. There is more to this film that just the typical teen angst, it is a film that is very relatable. As we walked out of the theater we both could say we identified strongly to each character in our own way and it was pretty cool to watch.
